Pack 962 is chartered (sponsored) by the Lovettsville-Waterford Ruritan. We meet the second Tuesday of each month during the school year, September through May, at Lovettsville Elementary School. Cub Scouting is for boys in First through Fifth grade and offers many opportunities for fun and adventure.

Our popcorn fundraiser is off to a great start! I know the boys have been out selling popcorn door-to-door, and I have heard that some boys have filled up one whole order form already! Also heard of one boy who has almost filled his second order form. Please remember to submit those filled forms to the Fill It Up contest each Friday so your scout will get two baseball tickets (or more). Submission information can be found on the poster that was included in the envelope with your order forms, and also in weekly reminder emails.
Our first Show & Sell (selling popcorn in public places) took place on 9/27 at the Lovettsville Oktoberfest, and we had a great day. Our booth brought in $1038.00 in sales and $20 in cash donations! Thank you to all the scouts who worked the booth that day, for a job well done! |

Once again Mrs. Consaul has thrown down the gauntlet: sell $10,000 in popcorn and she will take a pie in the face.
For the past few years Pack 962 has established a new tradition: if we meet our popcorn sales goal the top seller in each Den gets to hit their Den Leader in the face with a whipped cream pie. The top seller in the entire Pack gets to hit the Cubmaster, Mrs. Consaul, while we cheer him on. (No actual pies were harmed in the writing of this article) |

Incoming Tigers (first graders) were initiated into the Pack on at the September 10, 2008 Pack Meeting. In the ceremony, which some say goes back as far as Lord Baden-Powell himself, new Tiger Cubs drank the fresh "blood" (fruit punch) of a buffalo Mr. Blackwell "shot" in the hallway just moments before.
19 Tigers participated in the ceremony. |
